A Charming set of four French Country / Shaker style oak ladder-back dining chairs beautifully showcases the rustic elegance of traditional provincial craftsmanship. Dating to the mid 20th century, each chair is solidly built from robust oak timber with a deep finish, featuring a high backrest defined by three elegantly scalloped horizontal slats and turned stiles topped with simple ball finials. The front legs and thick double stretchers boast detailed faux-bamboo ring turnings, adding a sophisticated texture that perfectly balances the country styling. Each seat is hand-woven with a classic, tightly wrapped rush or cord envelope design. Supported by sturdy tapered legs underneath with cleanly joined cross-bracing, this timeless set offers structural durability and historic character, making it an excellent addition to an authentic farmhouse dining room or a cozy breakfast nook.
