Constructed Memory is an original mixed-media work by Murray Duncan, built from layered charcoal-blue geometric forms, neutral fields and expressive linear marks. The composition explores the relationship between structure, memory and gesture—balancing constructed forms with spontaneous lines that reveal the artist's hand and process.
The work is presented in a vintage gilded frame whose warmth, patina and ornament create a deliberate dialogue with the contemporary abstraction. The contrast between the historic frame and the modern composition brings together ideas of permanence and change, structure and gesture, past and present.
An original, one-of-a-kind work by Murray Duncan. No two works in the collection are repeated.
