This beautifully sculpted piece features a dynamic, high-relief design of a bird (likely a kingfisher or heron) perched among tall, leafy stalks and vibrant pink flowers.
The glaze is rich and glossy, with a beautiful interplay of greens, pinks, and earthy tones, characteristic of Shiwan ceramics.
Originally designed to hold calligraphy brushes, this piece is perfect for organizing pens and pencils on a modern desk, or for use as a striking standalone decorative vase. It is in good vintage condition with minor wear consistent with age.
