Each figure is individually modeled with a richly textured, hand-worked appearance and attenuated proportions strongly evocative of midcentury Modernist sculpture and the iconic elongated figures associated with Alberto Giacometti.

The figures are mounted on substantial square white marble plinths, creating a striking contrast between the nearly black sculptural surfaces and pale natural stone. Subtle variations between the male and female forms give the pair an expressive, almost studio-sculpture quality.

No longer in production, this Global Views design is increasingly difficult to find, particularly as a complete male and female pair. Their slender vertical scale makes them exceptionally versatile: dramatic enough to stand alone as sculpture while narrow enough for a console, pedestal, mantel, bookcase or collected tabletop arrangement.
