Spanning an impressive 103 inches wide, this four-piece modular cabinet combines architectural European Modern design with extensive display, entertaining and concealed storage functions.
The composition is particularly striking. Two broad central cabinets are flanked by dramatically angled end units, creating a subtle wraparound profile and giving the nearly nine-foot-wide piece a distinctly architectural presence. Warm wood grain is contrasted by large smoked-glass doors, clear glass shelving and discreet metal detailing.
Integrated illumination transforms the upper display cabinets after dark, casting a warm glow across the wood interiors and glass shelves. The illuminated end cabinets continue around the angled sides, making the wall unit particularly effective for displaying glassware, ceramics, sculpture or a curated collection.
At the center is an outstanding drop-front bar and entertaining compartment. The door lowers to form a generous serving surface accented by a dark glass inset, while the interior incorporates mirrored glass and additional glass shelving. When closed, the bar disappears almost completely into the restrained architectural façade.
The remainder of the system provides exceptional storage through multiple lower cabinets and additional central enclosed compartments, allowing display pieces and everyday storage to coexist within one cohesive design.
Original oval labels reading “Made in Belgium for RVC” remain present. Period Canadian trade records identify RVC as Royal Viking Contemporary, an international furniture concern that dealt in European wooden household furniture and maintained documented commercial ties with Belgium. At 103 inches wide and 77 inches tall, this is a true statement installation—equally suited to a living room, dining room, library, cocktail lounge or sophisticated home entertaining space. The modular four-section construction also makes the substantial scale considerably more manageable for transport and installation.
