Whimsical vintage mixed-metal sculpture by American artist Sonny Dalton (1933–2011), depicting a runner in motion wearing a copper-tone visor.
Constructed from repurposed metal components in Dalton's characteristic found-object style, with an elongated figure, spring-form torso and wonderfully exaggerated features.
Signed “Sonny Dalton ©” on the circular metal base and retaining its original Sonny Dalton Artist hangtag.
Approximately 8"H with a 3"W base.
A particularly fun piece for a runner, athlete, or collector of American found-object and industrial folk art.
