Set of two Japanese candlesticks, dating from circa 1950, Shōwa period, Japan. The candlesticks are made of gold-coloured metal and have a tall, richly profiled form with several rounded sections.
Dimensions: height 31 cm, diameter 8.5 cm.
At the top is a broad dish with a central candle spike. The symmetrical construction and polished gold-coloured finish give the pair a stately and decorative appearance.
The candlesticks are in very good vintage condition, with only light signs of age and use consistent with their age and original function.
A matching pair of Japanese candlesticks, originally intended for ceremonial or altar use and also highly decorative in an interior today.
