The table showcases Ghyczy’s characteristic construction, in which the four sculptural legs slide over the corners of the thick glass top, creating both a striking visual detail and a highly distinctive structural solution. The combination of the deep black architectural legs, substantial brass corner caps and crystal-clear glass gives the piece a sophisticated Hollywood Regency character, while its restrained geometry places it firmly within the tradition of Dutch Mid-Century Modern design.

Particularly noteworthy is the very well preserved condition of the glass top. The glass is otherwise in very good vintage condition, with only minor signs of age and use. The brass elements show an attractive natural patina consistent with age.
