Rare set of six original SD51 Golem Chairs designed by Vico Magistretti for Poggi, Italy, in 1968. One of Magistretti’s most sculptural designs, the Golem is distinguished by its exceptionally tall backrest, curved three-legged wooden structure, and circular black leather seat. Inspired by the high-backed furniture of Charles Rennie Mackintosh, the design transforms this historical reference into a striking expression of Italian modernism.
The chairs feature black lacquered wooden frames with genuine black leather seats and remain in excellent vintage condition with light traces of use. I have official proof of authenticity such as vintage catalogs,
designer records,
or other literature sources and take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising
from
misattribution
