This Spanish rug was designed by David Delfín. Its olive-green field is punctuated by a deep red cross-like form and the German words “zeige deine wunde” (“show your wound”), arranged across pale rectangular panels. The graphic composition gives the piece the presence of an artwork while retaining the warmth and texture of a hand-knotted rug.
Made from 50% New Zealand wool and 50% Chinese silk, with a cotton warp and weft. The combination of wool and silk adds subtle variation to the surface and brings out the contrast between the colours and lettering.
