Loose, confident brushwork and a soft palette of cream, sky blue, sage and rose give the scene warmth and movement.

Signed lower right. The canvas is mounted on a traditional wooden stretcher with corner keys, stamped with the canvas maker's marks and size numbers on the reverse. Presented in a carved and gilded frame with a linen-toned liner, the gilt showing a soft, worn patina.

Condition: good vintage condition. Fine craquelure to the paint surface, consistent with age. The frame shows gilt wear, small losses and rubbing at the edges. Wired and ready to hang.

Measurements: 24" W x 21" H. See less
