c. 1950s; Lubri-Loy - Cincinnati, OH
Single-sided tin advertising sign featuring bold red, black, and cream graphics promoting Lubri-Loy concentrated oil additive. Its lively Mid-Century commercial style pairs a uniformed mascot with an oversized illustrated product can and the guarantee, “More Miles Per Gallon—or Your Money Back!” Additional claims advertise reduced engine friction and improved gasoline mileage. Two factory-punched mounting holes appear along the upper edge.
Lubri-Loy filed its trademark in 1952 for a lubricating oil additive formulated to free sticking engine components, reduce friction, and improve automotive performance.
