This is a finely carved vintage Chinese wooden tea tray, crafted from rosewood (Huali wood). The rectangular tray features a raised, scalloped rim carved to resemble bamboo stalks, and the central surface is decorated with an intricate, all-over woven basketweave pattern. A carved bamboo leaf and stalk motif accents one corner, symbolizing resilience and continuous advancement ("step by step rising"). The wood displays a rich, dark reddish-brown patina with visible grain, and the tray rests on small bracket feet. It is a solid and elegant piece for tea service or display.
