A beautifully crafted vintage Chinese Chinoiserie wall mirror featuring a lustrous black lacquer frame adorned with hand-carved mother-of-pearl inlay and hand-painted gilt accents. Retaining its original "Made in Macau" foil label, this decorative mirror showcases a richly detailed traditional landscape scene populated with figures, pagodas, willow trees, and a sailing vessel rendered in exquisite raised relief.
The iridescent mother-of-pearl elements create remarkable depth and dimension, catching and reflecting light from every angle. The combination of glossy lacquer, shimmering shell inlay, and intricate carving exemplifies the decorative craftsmanship that made these Asian export pieces highly desirable during the late twentieth century.

The black lacquer finish retains a beautiful glossy appearance with minor surface wear and light scratches along the upper edge. The carved scene remains largely intact; however, one figure located at the lower left is missing a small mother-of-pearl facial inlay. Due to the dark background, this loss is subtle and does not significantly impact the overall presentation. The mirror plate is clear and functional, exhibiting a single pinpoint area of silver loss near the bottom center edge. Original hanging brackets and wire remain in place, allowing for immediate installation. less
