(Fine Arts in Plaster) table lamps, beautifully preserved and complete with their original oversized fabric shades.
These striking lamps combine sculptural textured bodies with warm walnut/teak-toned wood accents and richly dimensional botanical relief bands in turquoise, rust, green and earthy brown. The slender hourglass-shaped wood necks and coordinating wood bases give the pair a distinctly mid-century character, while the elaborate raised decoration makes them far more unusual than typical lamps of the period.
One of the most impressive features is their scale and proportion. The exceptionally tall original shades create a dramatic, elongated silhouette and give the lamps wonderful architectural presence. Together, they make a substantial statement while retaining the warmth and organic materials associated with mid-century interiors.
A beautiful and unique vintage pair, particularly appealing because both lamps have remained together and retain their coordinating original shades. They would be striking on large nightstands, end tables, a console, or anywhere a room calls for a substantial pair of statement lamps. Maker-stamped. See less
