Designed by Charles Pollock in 1963, the Executive Chair is one of Knoll's enduring modernist designs. Pollock developed what he called “edge technology,” using the continuous extruded aluminum rim as both a structural and visual element, creating the chair's distinctive clean-lined silhouette.
This vintage example retains its Knoll manufacturer's label/stamp and its original wool upholstery, offering documented authenticity and a particularly appealing degree of originality. The upholstery shows age-appropriate wear [then our exact condition wording], while the aluminum perimeter, black shell, armrests and five-star base retain the chair's iconic architectural profile.
Rather than being newly reupholstered, this example preserves the material character and patina of a vintage Knoll production—a desirable quality for collectors who value originality.
