c. 1930s-1940s; The Huenefeld Co. - Cincinnati, OH
Countertop demonstrator unit advertising "BOSS OIL RANGES," featuring a compact metal frame with an integrated burner assembly and visible fuel reservoir. The piece is topped with a porcelainized sign reading "NEW 'Top-Speed' BURNER / BOSS OIL RANGES - FAST AS GAS · SAFE · CLEAN · ECONOMICAL," with an additional line inviting viewers to "See this demonstrator work · try it yourself." The unit is constructed with a black enameled top, white enameled sides, and an open lower section exposing the internal components, including the cylindrical burner housing and glass fuel chamber.
Designed as a showroom or sales floor display, the demonstrator allowed prospective customers to observe the function and efficiency of oil-burning ranges in a controlled setting. The burner grate remains in place on the left side, while the right-side opening reveals the fuel system beneath a removable lid.
