A mid-century modern ceramic dove sculpture produced by Beswick in England during the 1950s, featuring a stylized bird form with a lustrous celadon green glaze and delicately colored floral and botanical details. Designed by Kathi Urbach, the piece combines an expressive sculptural silhouette with the functional qualities of a small decorative vase. The dove is rendered with an elegantly curved neck and gently lowered head, its rounded body framed by two upward-sweeping wings. The flowing contours and simplified proportions give the sculpture a distinctly modernist character, while the raised botanical decoration introduces a more playful, organic element. Small floral motifs in chartreuse, sky blue, and red punctuate the green-glazed body, complemented by molded foliage along the neck and a fan-shaped tail decorated with individually articulated leaves. An opening between the wings allows the sculpture to function as a posy vase, accommodating a small floral arrangement while retaining its decorative presence as a standalone ceramic object. The underside bears the impressed Beswick England manufacturer's mark and model number 1655, together with a printed factory mark. The sculpture is in very good vintage condition, with no chips or damage to the ceramic. The glaze remains lustrous and bright, with some crazing. Dimensions: Height 18 cm (7.09 in); width 29 cm (11.42 in); length 11.5 cm (4.53 in). This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
