More than a functional smoking accessory, this striking piece can be appreciated as a sculptural object in its own right. The finely rendered details—including the taut musculature, expressive features, and beautifully wind-swept mane—demonstrate the quality of the craftsmanship and give the piece a distinctive sculptural presence. While originally designed as a brass ashtray, its versatile form also makes it an elegant paperweight, catch-all tray, or decorative object for a desk, console, or tabletop. The brass has been carefully cleaned and polished with a specialized product, enhancing its warm, luminous appearance while preserving the character of this vintage piece. A compelling choice for collectors of vintage brass objects, equestrian decor, sculptural accessories, and distinctive decorative arts, this horse-head ashtray combines functionality with strong decorative appeal.
