What is unusual to the design is the canopy. The canopy is oval in form and made from cast brass. Most canopys are made from pressed metal. As you can see, the canopy plays a significant role in the visual presentation of the lamp. The threaded ring used to attach the lamp to the ceiling, is hand made from brass. We have left the textile cables as illustrated so that you can adjust and balance the lamp to fit the room where it will hang. We suggest having a professional person do this, as the cables need to be trimmed to fit the canopy. The brass has a patina from time which enhances the form in contrast to the recovered lamp shades. The shades have been recovered in paper, as they were originally. Canopy dimensions are: l. 12.5 cm, b. 3.5 cm, h. 3 cm. Height with the knob is 4.4 cm. Shade dimensions are: h. 21 cm, top ring 8.5 cm, bottom ring 20 cm. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
