The engraved designs on the mirror's side panels are geometric-abstract motifs with a modernist flair, typical of the Swedish Modern style of the 1930s and 1940s. The decorations do not depict realistic figures, but are composed of basic graphic elements. The thin grid structures or lattices resemble schematic constellations or spatial diagrams. Curved lines and crescent shapes intersecting the orthogonal axes create a sense of balance and dynamism. This type of acid or wheel engraving was used to lighten the mirror's surface, incorporating avant-garde graphic art (influenced by abstractionism and cubism) into everyday furniture.
