This delightful piece was designed by the mastery of castiglioni and produced in italy during the 1960s. In great vintage condition, with a charming warm beige natural patina that makes it truly spectacular when lit. This wonderful lamp features a sculptural cocoon shade with a beautiful organic shape recalling a blooming tulip, composed of gracefully curved petal-like sections. The shade rests on an elegant slender metal and brass base finished in matte white lacquer. When lit, the cocoon material creates a spectacular warm and diffused glow, beautifully highlighting its characteristic fibrous texture. The lamp comes wired and tested and is compatible with both us and eu/uk standards. It uses two e14 light bulbs. A one-of-a-kind and highly decorative example of italian mid-century lighting, with a fantastic sculptural presence, a must-have for collectors and italian design lovers.
