Magnificent and unique large pair of bellflower-shaped sconces in murano mouth-blown glass and solid brass with a stunning uniform bronzed patina. These exceptional lights were designed by barovier and produced in italy during the early 1940s. In fabulous original condition, with no chips or cracks, the brass retains its charming original natural bronzed patina, intentionally preserved to maintain the authenticity, character and historical value of the pieces. Each sconce features a spectacular fluted murano glass shade recalling the shape of a blooming bellflower, supported by an elegant curved and twisted mouth-blown glass arm and enriched with refined solid brass details. The effect when lit is simply spectacular, highlighting the outstanding quality of the murano glass of the period. The sconces come wired and tested, compatible with both us and eu/uk standards, and each uses a single e26/e27 light bulb. An incredibly refined pair of sconces, perfect to elevate a mid-century modern, art deco, or contemporary interior with a touch of timeless elegance.
