Folk art wall hanging constructed in the form of an oversized horseshoe, carved and painted to imitate the appearance of forged iron with applied dimensional nail details. A recessed central vignette titled "Blacksmith - Romance by the Fire" depicts a courting couple beside a glowing forge in a blacksmith shop, framed in gold tone molding. The exaggerated horseshoe form and romanticized workshop imagery give the piece a rustic Americana character suited to tavern, lodge, equestrian, or country interiors.
