A distinctive vintage Uttermost round bistro table featuring a richly figured wood-veneer top centered by a dramatic compass-star inlay. The 28-inch round top is bordered by a decorative radial veneer band and set above an inlaid geometric apron, four elegantly curved legs, and a circular lower display shelf.
At 30 inches high, the table stands at standard dining height and is well scaled for a two-person breakfast nook, apartment dining area, library, entry, or as an occasional game/card table. Its compact footprint and striking inlaid top make it a strong decorative focal point without taking up the space of a full dining table.
An original brass Uttermost maker’s plaque is affixed to the underside. The table is structurally sound, stable, and ready for use.
Condition
Good vintage condition with cosmetic wear consistent with age and use. The veneer top and compass-star inlay retain excellent decorative presence but show scattered surface scratches, fine abrasions, rub marks, and areas of finish wear, most visible in direct light.
Several small veneer chips, nicks, and losses are present around the tabletop perimeter. There is one more notable chipped/broken area to the decorative outer edge banding, along with minor seam lines and irregularities between some sections of the radial perimeter veneer. A small light-colored spot or veneer loss is visible near one end of the compass-star inlay.
The lower circular shelf has light scratches, dark marks, finish wear, and small nicks/chips along its edge. The shaped legs show scattered minor scratches, rubs, and finish irregularities consistent with normal use.
All noted issues are cosmetic. The table is structurally sound and stable. Please review all photographs closely, including detailed images of the tabletop, perimeter banding, lower shelf, and maker’s plaque, as they are part of the description.
