Anthony Quinn 1915-2001 - Artist and Actor Anthony Quinn was born in Chihuahua, Mexico and his family moved to Los Angeles when he was four. Before becoming an Oscar winning actor, Anthony Quinn had been a prizefighter and a painter. Between takes on location and films he drew, painted, and sculpted. Some of Quinn's best sculpture were created in Africa filming the 1970's and 1980's while Quinn was working on a film. Quinn was also a student and friend of Frank Lloyd Wright.
