Michael Hampshire (1933-2013): An English lad who set his sights on becoming an artist before he every enrolled in collage. He enrolled at Leeds Collage of Art where he began to hone his skills and begin his realizing his dream of being a full-time artist. In the 1950s, Hampshire emigrated to the US and New York city where he was quickly introduced into the art community. By the 1970s he was working an illustrator for National Geographic and his works can be seen at Walnut Canyon and Grande Pueblo Museum in Phoenix.
