A beautifully crafted Chinese hexagonal brush pot (bitong), likely made of Huali (rosewood). The vessel is exquisitely decorated with intricate mother-of-pearl (shell) inlay on each facet, depicting a classical "Bogu" (Hundred Antiques) motif, featuring a vase with blooming flowers. The top and bottom corners are accented with ornate brass mounts secured with rivets. A sophisticated and elegant addition to a scholar's desk or as a decorative object.
