Gigi Sabadin designed his "Esse" chairs for Stilwood in 1973, bending a single sheet of plywood into a continuous S-curve that reads as one uninterrupted gesture — seat, back, and support folding out of the same piece of wood. It's a quietly radical bit of engineering dressed up as simplicity, and it's the kind of chair that photographs like sculpture from any angle.
This set of six carries that scissor-style silhouette in a warm velvet reupholstery, softening the sharp geometry of the frame without dulling its presence at the table.
