Gustavo Novoa (1941 - ): A Chilean born artist who studied at the Academy of Fine Arts and Law School in his native country. However, he realized a structured life was not for him and moved to Paris where he began selling artworks in the streets. The late queen of Spain sponsored one of his first shows, following which he began exhibiting at man galleries on Faubourg St. But the allure of New York City swindled him away, and where he opened his first gallery in 1965. By the mid 70s he was exhibiting his exotic jungle artworks throughout the United States. Today he is represented by the prestigious Wally Findlay Galleries and his artworks can be seen in Museums such as the Contemporary Art Museum in Chile.
