The work depicts a stylized female figure rendered with expressive, economical linework and areas of dark gestural shading.

Executed on an irregularly shaped paper support, the composition has a distinctive sculptural quality, with the silhouette of the paper itself becoming part of the image. The warm, naturally aged paper and visible foxing contribute to its vintage character.

Signed “Augusto Rodrigues” and dated 1978 lower left. Presented under glass in a simple black frame. The reverse retains an older Brazilian framer’s label from Cristalpax.
