This large-format, limited corporate edition was published circa 1955 by the legendary type and design pioneer Ing. C. Olivetti & C., S.p.A. in Ivrea, Italy.Celebrated for its sophisticated mid-century typography and striking graphic minimalism, this large folio features a clean, off-white cardstock wrapper housing the interior loose-leaf folios. Inside, the historical text outlines the artistic significance of the classical wall paintings and archeological frescos discovered at Pompeii. Crucially, this copy is completely intact, containing all original text leaves and beautifully preserved, brilliant color art plates tipped onto heavy paper backing sheets.Design & Styling Notes:With its commanding size, elegant serif italic layout, and neutral palette, this portfolio serves as an elite styling piece for luxury spaces. It is ideal for open-shelf staging, library curating, or as a sophisticated coffee table centerpiece in a minimalist or Mid-Century Modern interior. Alternatively, the complete set of loose, high-quality tipped-in plates offers an incredible opportunity to create a stunning, cohesive gallery wall installation of classical Roman art.Dimensions:Height: 15.3 inches (39 cm)Width: 11.0 inches (28 cm)Depth: 0.4 inches (1 cm)Condition:Excellent vintage condition. The off-white outer cardstock cover exhibits minor, authentic age-toning along the borders and spinal edge, with very minor creasing at the corners that reflects its historical character.
