These vintage hand-crafted Mascotes de Maria Helena cloth dolls were created in Portugal in the late 1950s. The rare boy doll has the original paper flag tag and gold foil label with the registration tag marked with the #1 showing it is a first edition of the series. The three dolls are made of tightly stuffed fabric on a wire frame with embroidered features and painted rosy cheeks. They are all dressed in felt and cotton clothing with lots of special detailing including, embroidery, feathers, aprons, bloomers, sheaf of wheat, as well as the signature leather shoes. The doll heights are 7 inches.
These are vintage dolls and have some minor condition issues including some color fading and dirt but are in very good condition for their age. There are a few small moth holes on the skirt of the doll with the feather hat and the bottom of the right shoe on the boy doll has been repaired.
