“Mr Rabbit,” an original 2018 figurative painting by contemporary artist Jacqueline Myers-Cho.
A stylized rabbit figure in a turquoise suit and red tie is rendered against a layered abstract ground of muted pink, coral, yellow, aqua, gray, and cream. The exaggerated ears, crossed-out eyes, graphic outlines, and loosely painted surrounding marks give the work a playful but slightly surreal quality.
Myers-Cho is a contemporary artist whose practice spans painting, drawing, fiber art, sculpture, and mixed media. Her work frequently combines figurative imagery, abstraction, and narrative, and she has exhibited her work since the late 1980s.
The work is signed/marked on the face and identified on the reverse “Jacqueline Myers-Cho,” “2018,” and “Mr Rabbit.”
