It has been owned and cherished by the same family since that time.

.A one-of-a-kind, hand-painted cabinet by Habersham Plantation of Georgia, signed and dated by the artist, "S. Saylors 1991." The doors feature a charming folk-art Noah's Ark scene: animals two by two, including lions, sheep, horses, alligators, ducks, rabbits and turtles, heading toward the ark beneath windswept trees. Each side panel continues the theme with a painted coastal landscape of a lone tree, a small bird and a whale on the horizon.

The cabinet is handcrafted from solid wood with a stained cornice, dentil molding, fluted side columns and bracket feet. Originally designed as a TV cabinet, it has an interior shelf and a cord opening in the back panel. Its compact size makes it easy to use as a storage cupboard, bar cabinet, linen or craft cabinet, or, with a rod added, a small armoire. It would be especially sweet in a nursery or child's room.

Marked on the back with the Habersham Plantation "Copyright 1990" stamp and production number 614014. See less
