Vintage Gucci figural stirrup cup featuring a beautifully modeled rabbit or hare head with elongated ears, expressive features and finely textured fur. The sculptural animal head is finished with antiqued detailing that emphasizes the casting, while the polished silver-tone cup features a warm gold-tone interior. Signed GUCCI at the base of the figural head.
Drawing inspiration from traditional European sporting and hunting stirrup cups, the vessel can be displayed inverted upon its sculptural animal head, creating an unusual decorative object even when not in use.
A charming and highly collectible example of vintage Gucci barware, combining Italian luxury design with classic equestrian and sporting imagery. Excellent displayed in a bar, library, study or alongside other Gucci animal-form stirrup cups.
