This cabinet has been intentionally cleaned rather than refinished, preserving the brilliant historic distressing and deep coloration that give true antiques their irreplaceable soul. Surface Character: The top surface features a beautiful, authentic variety of historic scratches and honest wear from decades of use, offering the exact character high-end designers look for. Mechanism Note: While the rare skeleton key and lock mechanism are fully functional, the aged cabinet doors can still be easily pulled open when locked—preserving its antique charm and historical accuracy rather than modern high-security function. less
