Each lamp is designed in the form of an elegant classical urn, reflecting the refined neoclassical taste and exceptional craftsmanship of 19th-century French decorative arts.
Each lamp features a beautifully colored Antico-Verde marble body with dramatic natural veining, framed and embellished with finely cast gilt bronze mounts. Two graceful gilt bronze handles are attached to the sides of each urn, further emphasizing the classical silhouette. The urn-shaped bodies rest upon four gilt bronze feet, while the upper portion is finished with additional bronze ornament and a decorative finial, creating a harmonious and richly architectural composition.
Each lamp stands approximately 25 1/2 inches high to the top of the finial and measures 13 3/4 inches in diameter. Their impressive scale and elegant proportions make them particularly suitable for a console, sideboard, commode, entry table, or as a sophisticated pair of lamps flanking a sofa or important piece of furniture.
