An extraordinary, cohesive suite of 56 authentic spindle-back dining chairs handcrafted by the acclaimed Hunt Country Furniture Inc. of New York. Sourcing large-scale, matching sets of genuine American craftsmanship with this level of structural integrity is exceedingly rare, presenting a turnkey seating solution for boutique hotels, upscale restaurants, private clubs, winery tasting rooms, and expansive rustic estates.
Design & Craftsmanship Details
Handcrafted Integrity: Built with heavy solid-hardwood components featuring stout, canted legs tied together by distinctive faceted stretchers designed to withstand decades of commercial use.
Ergonomic Saddled Seating: Each seat features deep, sculpted plank contouring for surprising natural comfort without requiring cushions.
Architectural Spindle Backs: Upright, splayed spindle arrays and continuous curved crest rails establish a commanding, textural rhythm across large dining spaces.
Rich, Hand-Hewn Patina: Showcases a warm, burnished honey-oak finish with authentic edge-softening and natural grain exposure that cannot be replicated by modern reproductions.
Design Context
With an honest, organic aesthetic, this collection seamlessly complements:
Adirondack, Alpine Chalet, and Mountain Modern interiors
Farm-to-table dining spaces and historic tavern environments
Belgian Farmhouse, Wabi-Sabi, and warm minimalist dining projects
Condition & Provenance
The entire suite is clean, stable, and ready for installation. Surfaces exhibit beautiful, genuine cosmetic patina—including light surface scuffs, finish wear along the seat edges, and natural character marks commensurate with age. All frames are tight and sturdy. Fifty-four chairs remain in their original structural form; two chairs have earlier historic structural reinforcements that are tight, solid, and fully functional. Stamped with the official Hunt Country Furniture maker’s mark underneath. See less
