Exceptional 1977 copy of Lalique par Lalique, a richly illustrated reference devoted to the work and legacy of René Lalique, published by EDIPOP in Lausanne for Société Lalique Paris.
This copy is hand-signed by Marc Lalique and Marie-Claude Lalique on the title page, each in a different ink. Marc Lalique, son of René Lalique, succeeded his father in directing the celebrated French house, while Marie-Claude Lalique represented the third generation of the family and succeeded Marc following his death in 1977—the same year this volume was published.
Lavishly illustrated throughout, Lalique par Lalique explores the extraordinary creative legacy of René Lalique through jewelry, glass, sculpture and decorative objects. The volume provides an especially appealing visual record of Lalique design and is presented in both French and English.
This example retains its original illustrated slipcase and two loose inserts, including the original bilingual errata sheet—welcome elements of completeness, as surviving copies are frequently encountered without their original slipcases or accompanying material.
A beautiful and substantial reference for collectors of René Lalique, French Art Nouveau, historic jewelry, art glass and 20th-century decorative arts, as well as a striking display book in its own right.

The original illustrated slipcase is present and shows considerably more wear, including substantial old repairs/mending, creasing, edge and corner wear, and remnants/discoloration from previously applied tape or labels along the lower portion. The wear is concentrated primarily on the slipcase rather than the book itself. The bottom of the dust jacket has a minor repair. Two loose inserts are retained with the volume, including the original bilingual errata sheet. The title page is hand-signed by Marc Lalique and Marie-Claude Lalique in two different inks.
