A charming Chinese blue and white porcelain brush pot (bitong). The cylindrical vessel features a creamy, all-over crackle glaze and is hand-painted in underglaze blue with a traditional mountainous landscape scene, depicting figures crossing a bridge, pine trees, and pavilions. The reverse side features blue calligraphy. The base bears a red six-character "Da Qing Guangxu Nian Zhi" (Made in the Guangxu Reign of the Great Qing) mark. A wonderful addition to a scholar's desk or as a decorative object.
