The articulated arm mechanism is secured by knurled adjustment knobs at the central column, allowing the candle sockets to be positioned as desired. Each arm terminates in a removable drip pan with decorative turned pendant finials, while the broad stepped circular base provides stability. This style of adjustable seven-branch candelabrum was commonly produced for domestic and ceremonial use and reflects forms associated with Sabbath and other religious candle lighting traditions during the late Victorian period.
