A group of three hand-formed metal word signs originally used for an apartment building's rental announcements. Each phrase-"1-2 BEDROOM," "APPLY APT 7," and "AVAILABLE"-is shaped from bent metal rod with small mounting tabs integrated along the lengths. Designed to be displayed in windows or on exterior frames, the letters are utilitarian yet visually distinctive, with warm patina across all surfaces from decades of exposure.
Mid-century property managers and landlords frequently used durable metal signage like this in lieu of painted boards or paper placards, as the reusable rod lettering held up to weather and could be rearranged as vacancies changed.
