A striking vintage Mid-Century Modern Brutalist-style sculpture depicting a seated violinist in an expressive, elongated form. The musician sits upon a slender chair while holding a detailed violin and bow, creating a wonderful sense of movement despite the sculpture's minimalist design.
The piece features a dark blackened metal finish with intentionally textured, irregular surfaces characteristic of Brutalist and Expressionist decorative sculpture. Particularly appealing are the exaggerated long legs, abstracted figure, and surprisingly detailed violin with molded strings and body contours.
Constructed from multiple metal elements with visible hand-finished and joined details, giving the sculpture an artisan quality. An unusual decorative accent for a bookshelf, console, music room, office, library, or Mid-Century Modern interior. See less
