brand: daum france. Daum france is a historic french manufacturer of artistic crystal, founded in nancy in 1878 by jean daum. Renowned for its refined craftsmanship, daum played a central role in the art nouveau movement, thanks in part to its collaboration with artists such as émile gallé. Over the years, the house has developed a distinctive technique: pâte de verre (glass paste), which allows for fine details and extraordinary color rendering. This technique, rediscovered and perfected in the 20th century, has become the company’s trademark. Daum’s creations range from vases and sculptures to decorative objects, often produced in limited series or as one-of-a-kind collector’s items. Many pieces are the result of collaborations with contemporary artists and designers, including salvador dalí, arman, and césar baldaccini.
