Description: An atmospheric 1968 harbor painting signed by Petko Kadiev. A working boat crosses the foreground while larger vessels, dockside cranes, and a long pier recede into the mist. Warm light breaks through the hazy sky and reflects across the water, giving this industrial waterfront scene a quiet, cinematic quality.
Kadiev (1925–2019) was a Bulgarian-born artist who later settled in California. Alongside his painting, he worked in Hollywood as an illustrator and art director. His eye for setting and light is evident in this evocative maritime scene.
Signed “Petko Kadiev ’68” at lower right. Presented in what appears to be its original decorative wood frame, with a distinctive green inner border. The painting is in excellent vintage condition, with no tears or rips. The frame shows gentle wear consistent with age. Please review photographs for details.
