Loose, impressionistic brushwork gives the street a lively sense of movement, with flashes of turquoise, red and golden yellow emerging from a restrained palette of cream, stone, brown and gray. Small details throughout the composition reward a closer look, from figures disappearing into the crowd to storefronts, street lamps and vendors lining the boulevard.

The painting is signed “A. DeVity” lower right. The reverse of the exposed canvas bears a Studio d’Arte DeVity / Italia stamp.

Presented in a substantial vintage wood frame with painted and gilt detailing. The aged surface and warm patina complement the old-world Parisian subject beautifully.
