A pair of hand carved wooden hollow barrel-form garden stools in a warm reddish-brown finish with removable tops, a flat circular seat, molded rim, scalloped, gadrooned bands, bulging body and tapered and molded foot. Each stool has small round medallions, a deeply carved phoenix-like bird in flight with wings spread and tail feathers flaring and a long sinuous dragon with a scaled serpentine body, clawed legs, flowing mane and open jaws. No maker’s mark.
