Attractive matched pair of antique Paye & Baker Manufacturing Co. sterling silver sauce/cream ladles, dating to the early 20th century. Each ladle has a classic understated form with a broad rounded bowl, slender tapered handle and rounded terminal. Both handles bear a matching engraved script monogram.
The reverse side if each ladle is clearly marked with the distinctive Paye & Baker P & B trademark followed by "STERLING", confirming solid .925 sterling silver. Paye & Baker Manufacturing Co. of North Attleboro, Massachusetts was a prominent American silver manufacturer known for both decorative and traditional sterling flatware.
Each ladle is 5 inches in length and the combined weight is 46 grams.
