A handsome curated collection of six vintage books exploring the castles, country houses, historic towns, farmhouses, and architectural heritage of England, Ireland, France, and Europe. Richly illustrated throughout, the collection combines architectural history with beautiful interiors, landscapes, historic estates, and medieval art.
The set includes:
The Castle in Medieval England & Wales — Colin Platt
The Farmhouse — Irvine / Kossakowski
Dream Towns of Europe — Joseph Wechsberg
Castles of the Loire
Art & Architecture of the Late Middle Ages — Wim Swaan
Irish Houses & Castles — Desmond Guinness & William Ryan
With its complementary palette of blue, green, cream, black, and gilt-lettered bindings, this collection displays beautifully together on a library shelf, console, coffee table, or within a traditional or English country-inspired interior. An appealing decorative library set for collectors of European architecture, historic houses, castles, and interior design.
Dimensions:
Six books together: approximately 6.75" W across the spines.
Individual books range approximately 10"–13" H and 7"–9" W when measured flat. Dimensions vary by volume.
Condition:
Good vintage condition overall with age-appropriate wear. Covers and dust jackets show varying degrees of edge wear, rubbing, small tears, and other signs of previous use. Several volumes retain former library call-number labels and/or interior library or handwritten markings. Irish Houses & Castles has more noticeable wear to its dust jacket, particularly along the edges and corners. Interiors remain attractive and highly displayable. The interior covers and spines are all in very good condition- underneath the jackets. Please refer to photographs for details of condition.
